Northlakes High School has a long and proud tradition of success in Music and the Performing Arts. We have consistently showcased our students' talents and performance capabilities through events like Central Coast Showcase, Youth Rock and YIPA.
The HSC requirements for Music are:
•Core performance - 5 minute maximum Related to a topic studied.
•Aural (Listing) Exam - 1 Hour unprepared listening exam consisting of 4 questions about the Concepts of Music.
•Elective Choice One - Students can choose to present one of the following: Performance-5 minute maximum. Composition-5 minute maximum. Viva-Voce-10 minute maximum. Elective choices can represent any topic studied.
•Elective Choice Two - Students can choose to present one of the following: Performance-5 minute maximum. Composition-5 minute maximum. Viva-Voce-10 minute maximum. Elective choices can represent any topic studied.
•Elective Choice Three - Students can choose to present one of the following: Performance-5 minute maximum. Composition-5 minute maximum. Viva-Voce-10 minute maximum. Elective choices can represent any topic studied.
