Year 9-10

In Year 9, students study the Archibald Prize and can enter paintings of their own into the Young Archibald Prize run through local regional galleries.

Ceramics is explored and students are required to create a sculpture which appropriates ideas from  a famous painting.

Students create reduction prints based on the theme of Surrealism.

The theme of Still Life is the source for many drawing experiences.

Homework is made available every term and is designed to build students' drawing skills.

Year 10 sculptures have been collected from Kooindah Waters and selected sculptures will be placed on display in the area behind The Creative Arts block. Currently Year 10 are working on the Ocean to Outback Unit, with focus artist John Wolseley. Four works have been selected from this group for inclusion in Operation Art. They have just completed an assessment task focussing on an extended response on the work of John Wolseley.
