Year 8 English

Year 8 classes study English across four core topics spread throughout the year. Students will explore a different unit each term, including: The Environment in Novels and Multimedia; Shakespeare: Drama &; Indigenous Poetry & Non-Fiction; and Fantasy & Picture Books. Our programs are based on the K-10 English Australian Curriculum, with an emphasis on strengthening students reading, writing, speaking, listening and viewing and representing skills.

We at Northlakes High School would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land on which we work, learn, and grow, the Darkinjung and Awaba peoples. This is the shared lands of the people of the mountains and the people of the sea.
