Today, and tomorrow fifteen lucky Year 8 students have the opportunity to participate in the 'New Beginnings' program. The goal of this program is to help these students become powerful leaders in our community. Over the next two days they will be looking at concepts of power, community, and leadership, as well as learning techniques for creating change. They are working alongside some awesome volunteer mentors from our community who are here to support our students. What a great opportunity!
At the end of the two days the students stood up and spoke about issues that they felt needed to be addressed around our local area, and it was wonderful to hear some of their outcomes, and we look forward to them continuing on their missions, we hope they can take all of their skills with them into the future.
